Question:
Level 2 appeal, I will go before the board, any suggestions?
I will fly to Seattle to sit before an appeal board Sept 24. Premera Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance advises my appearing in person isn't necessary and it's at my own expense. I've read (on this forum) that others have had luck when they appeared in person. Any thoughts you can pass my way as to what to expect, what to say, etc would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance ~ — Gail R. (posted on August 31, 2001)

p.s. I had surgery Jan 22, 2001 (revision) and have been fighting
insurance the entire way, just thought I'd add this.....I'm not a pre-op.
Thanks~

I found a site that has a TON of practical, concise, how-to
information on fighting insurance company denials, how to prepare for a
hearing, etc. I'm sorry I don't recall the name of the site off the top of
my head, but it is listed on my WLS web page under "other sources of
information". Go to this webpage http://www.lkdobson.homestead.com
and you will find it from there. Hope this helps. Good luck !
