Hi, I don't know anything about the Dr. you mentioned, but if you want a
good Dr. in the Atlanta area who does the Lap RNY I know of a couple. One
is Dr. Edward Waits out of Northside Hospital and another is Dr. Champion
in Canton. They are on this website and also listed with the ASBS. If you
can't find any info on your Dr., then you might try one of the others. I
am seeing Dr. Waits.

Hello, Yes I just had my first appointment today with Dr. C Dainiel Smith.
Although, I must say it was a very lengthy wait (2.5 hours) he was well
worth it. I first talked to his assistant Dr. Alan Bradshaw a personable
and professional young man. He took my history etc.. then he explained the
process and program Dr. Smith wants his patients to follow. Next, Dr. Smith
came in very apologetic for the long wait and he was very professional.Dr.
Smith explained that his approach is very conservative because he wants to
make sure all your test come back ok and this is what you truly want
because it is a life commitment. Overall, let me say this surgeon's
experience and background speak for itself he is cheif of gastroentestional
surgery of Emory Hospital, but his genuine concern for my well being and
health as patient was the most impressive. Dr. Smith has been doing RNY
Laps since 1993, but was doing the procedure open long before at the Mayo
Clinic, so he is very experienced. Finally, what better combination to have
cheif surgeon in a top notched medical facility do my operation it's a
win-win combination. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any futher
questions.
