I have tried Brown Sugar Twin in the past. If you can get beyond that
Sugar Twin aftertaste, it serves the purpose.

Use the brown sugar twin and Example: where your recipe calls for
1/2 cup of brown sugar use this: use 1/4 cup applesauce and 1/4 cup brown
sugar twin. That way you get the great carmel color and the sweetness
is not lost..

I think the the best choice for a brown sugar sub is Brown SugarLike.
Contact Bateman's Products, Inc. 251 W. Main St., Rigby, Idaho 83442,
(208)745-9033. Their white sugar is awesome also. It's 7 calories per
teaspoon but it tastes great, looks and acts like the real thing and it
doesn't break down in cooking like equal etc. They make it in a syrup as
well as granulated. I use all sugar produts very sparingly but this
product is a winner!

Hi,
I use a product called "Sugar Twin" -spoonable- Brown sugar
replacement. It is made by Alberto-Culver USA Inc. Melrose Park, Il 60160
I use it to make cookies all of the time as my husband is Diabetic and
now that I had RNY I cannot eat sugar. It is really pretty good.
Sweet and Low also makes a Brown sugar substitute.
Hope this helps.

Try using Date Sugar. You can find this at the health food store. I have
used in baking, and it tastes great. :)

Really? Interesting. I've never noticed the aftertaste to Sugar Twin, I
love it! Tastes so much better than Equal or anything else.

I like sweetnlow brown. 1/4 cup sugar=2teaspoons sweetnlow brown. It is
good and easily found in most grocery stores with the other sweetnlow.

I use Splenda with a tiny bit of molasses added. 1 cup SPlenda and 1/4-1/2
teas. molasses.
I did the same thing with sugar *before* surgery - it's a common sub for
brown sugar.
