My Doctor performs the open RNY Gastric Bypass. I've only heard of the surgery

mentioned as RNY or as Gastric bypass. I've never heard of it mentioned as one whole operation (RNY Gastric bypass), what is the difference if any.    — [Anonymous] (posted on January 29, 2000)
