Question:
My surgery is tomorrow and I am so scared.

I was suppose to have surgery Nov. 12th, but it was cancelled because I had a fever. The new date is Dec15th. and it is almost here. I am more afraid it will be cancelled again. Pleas say a prayer.    — Kate G. (posted on December 13, 1999)

You will have this surgery on the date scheduled..be positive about it. You should be afraid...but don't let your fears become irrational. I am 12 days postop with a DS and I can vividly recall that gut feeling the day before and the day of..it was so sur-real. It will pass and be a dream soon...you will wonder how you ever got through it..but YOU WILL. It all will be a badge of Honor that only you wear...I can't believe the things I endured and that has made me stronger. You will not be the same person when post op that you were the first day you planned on looking into this surgery..more than your body changes..be proud that you have made the decision to better your life...and when you feel weak, lean on us...we are here..Love Jackie
