Question:
How can it be that my weight doesn't move but my clothes continue to get looser?
I am 14 months out. I've lost over 108 lbs. I have been on a plateau for 2 months now. My weight flucuates from 135 to 140 regularly. But my clothes/pants in particuliar are getting looser and looser. And what fit a day or two ago, now seems too big. I guess I'm confused on how this can be. Anybody know or had this happen to them? — Jillisa R. (posted on May 26, 2005)

It takes your body a while to re-distribute. Im sure you are gaining muscle
which weighs more than fat. My advise is to throw away your scale and enjoy
new clothes!

I agree. You probably are not done losing yet. Not that you are going to
lose a lot more, but you are probably still losing fat and gaining muscle.
Your body will redistribute your weight for the next year. Enjoy it.

youre losing inches. Its common to lose inches but not pounds. I did that
for a month...take some measurements every month and compare them. Ill bet
you'll be surprised. I just had a TT and i lost inches but not pounds of
course im still healing i just hope i dont lose to many pounds. I had no
idea i had a small frame lol. If you look at my before pic you'll see what
i mean. Great job by the way love Amy

I wish I was 135 to 140 I am 14 months out & still have
50 lns to go & Have been stuck at 200 lbs for the last 2 months myself.
I am also losing inches & not weight so I
think our bodies are still catching up with the massive weight loss that we
have had in the last 14 months. You keep doing what you have done so far
& you will start losing again soon. Hang in There, AT LEAST THATS WHAT
THEY ALL TELL ME THAT ARE 3 & 4 years out.

I have always lost weight like that Jillisa, as a matter of fact I lose
inches much faster than lbs. I feel that most people do not have that
advantage.

I don't know why but it happens. The past 2 months I lost 1lb but when I
measured I lost 5 inches! Smaller is better :-)
