Question:
Is my gastric by-pass surgeon the DR. who should treat me for my gastritis problems?

My surgeon required me to see i gastrointeroligist prior to surgery. I still have to see him every 3-4 months. my bypass surgeon did di my hernia repair also, but another problems,I would see a Gi doctor.All the best!

I would say see a gsatroenterologist or your primary MD could treat that with out difficulty too.

You can start with your primary care doc...then if he feels you need to see a gastroenterologist that would be even better. Just make sure you inform everyone of your post-op status. :-)

I would call your surgeon and talk with him. He may recoomend a gsatroenterologist that he may know.
