HI THERE,
I AM A MARINE WIFE AND THE DAUGHTER OF A NAVY DAD THAT DID THREE TOURS IN
VIETNAM. I HAD WLS 02/04/2004 AND I KNOW THAT THE MILITARY HOSPITAL FALLS
SHORT ON SUPPORT GROUPS. I DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION FOR YOU. BUT, I CAN OFFER
YOU A LINK TO MY WLS WEBSITE,
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ChristianWLSJourney/
WE ARE HERE TO OFFER SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT AND PRAYER.
GOD BLESS YOU,
LORIANN

You sound like you may be very depressed.(And who wouldn't be, in your
shoes). Even though you don't want to take medication, you may very well
need it right now, and not forever. If nothing else, you need to be able to
take care of your daughter, who needs you so much right now. I am betting
she is very scared for her Daddy right now, and you really need to be there
for her. Do make sure there is no mechanical reason that you can't eat. I
wish I could be there to help you out, but I will have to send cyber
((((hugs)))) instead! Take care!

Would it be possible for you to move closer to family? A support system
was very important for me. Support groups are really something I enjoy so
family/friends helped me a lot. If you don't want to take medication to
help with depression you might try upping your exercise.. You might think
about joining the YMCA and take your daughter with you. Good luck!
