Hi Tammy,
The same thing is happening to me, it has been two months, I have taken a
pregnancy test, but will be taking another one this weekend. My Dr. said
to wait it out. I am older than you though, 43.

I'm almost 2 years out, and about 5 mos. post op, I didn't get my period
for 6 months. Dr. said due to all of the drastic changes in my body.
Everything's fine now.

The entire year before my RNY I was irregular, having only a total of maybe
6 periods that entire year (every other month). Part of it was my weight,
but mostly it was stress.

Tammy, first of all congradulations on your upcomming surgery. Second, I am
sure it is due to stress. I went through the same thing. Going through the
process is stressful, then you have to actually have the surgery which is a
big change to your body. I had my surgery on 5-3-04 and I still have not
had a period yet. I know I am not pregnant. My tubes are clamped and tied.
I was told to just wait it out and it should work itself out. Good luck to
you and best wishes for a speedy recovery! Erin from FL Open RNY 5-3-04
