Are Online BMI Calculators Correct - Do dr's use the same thing

Are the online BMI calculators correct and accurate? Do the doctor's use something different to determine an accurate BMI for an individual?    — Johanna W. (posted on June 22, 2004)

BMI is calculated only one way. There is only one correct formula, however Dr's may value that info differently. The online one's are correct if formulated correctly. The one on this website works for me. It matched my Dr.s #'s
