I am looking for a Dr in the Whiteman AFB area that accepts Tricare Prime. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You — Jillisa R. (posted on February 17, 2004)

My Surgeon is located in Sedalia, Mo. Dr. Philip Hornbostel. He has had
several patients from Whiteman AFB. He is a very kind and understanding Dr.
I would recommend him all the way!

hi! if you are relocating to a different tricare region you have to start
the whole process over :( then if your approved to see a surgeon then you
will have to call tricare and see if you have to go to a military hospital
or if you can see an in network doctor. just because a doctor takes tricare
doesn't mean tricare uses them for certian surgeries. if tricare says you
can see a network doctor then they will give you a list of doctors to go
by.if you have already been approved to see a surgeon maybe you could call
whatever region that whiteman is in and ask them if you can just switch
your info over so you don't have to start the whole process over from the
begining. you can go to the tricare website and it will give you the
numbers for the different regions. it will be automated so and will ask you
to put in your area code....put in an area code for whiteman. best of luck!

Hi Jillisa,
I too had surgery with Dr.Hornbostel in Sedalia, Missouri. That is about 30
minutes from Whiteman AFB. I also have Tricare Prime. Dr. Hornbostel is the
absolute best! I just cannot say enough about him. My husband and I are
stationed on Richards-Gebaur AFB in Kansas City. Please email me if I can
help you with any questions you might have! God Bless! :)
