Question:
What are 10 things you want to do after loosing all that weight?

I am compiling a list of 100 things I want to do after loosing weight. I have 70 so far. Some of them include things like: Buy clothes that don't have an X in the size, fit in the seats at an amusement ride, Paticipate in a cardio class at the fitness center, have a lap, and more. I have accomplished so much already like: getting rid of my seatbelt extender, weigh less than what it says on my driver's licence, have my knee problems be gone, and wear pants that don't require elastic. Does anyone else have goals they would like to share? I want 100 things on my list.    — Heather M. (posted on November 21, 2003)

Run with my children without getting winded. No layne bryant clothing Look ok in a swimsuit, so I can swim with my kids without the other kids saying your mom is so fat. enjoy movement No more wide width shoes Ride on amusement park rides and not having to wait for the fat seat to arrive only to find out I am too fat. To actually weigh what my driver license says I do. I havn't had the weight changed on it since I got the darn thing. I want to skydive. wear spaghetti straps have confidence

Things I can NOW do since I've lost 200+ pounds :>) and in no order of importance: 1.) prepare dinner and/or clean the kitchen without using an office chair on wheels. 2.) Buy JEANS from a regular store - and no elastic in them :>) 3.) Play outside with my dog for more than five minutes. 4.) Cross the room without breaking into a sweat. 5.) wear a sweater ALL day - it's wonderful. Always wondered how others could wear them. They were just TOO HOT before. 6.) Have the energy for more than just the bare basics of personal hygiene. 7.) Buy clothes at yard sales and thrift stores. VERY difficult to find anything larger than a 2x in those places and now I can find LOTS of clothes :>) 8.) Hug my kids and thier arms go all the way around me. We just discovered that one and my kids were totaly psyched by it lol. 9.) Attend any event my husband wants me to without fear. I used to avoid these because of seating, room temperatures, etc. 10.) Use ANY bathroom without fear that I couldn't spread my legs far enough to wipe sufficiently. That was a big one. I hated using others bathrooms because the toilets are often too close to the walls. Now I don't have that problem. OH there are sooo many more, but these are the highlights so far! Things I still want to accomplish will have to wait until after skin removal (sigh...).

Well, other than the normal things that I'm sure are already on the list. (buying clothes, playing with the kids, etc.) I want to learn how to surf(on water, not the web.lol) I want to go snow boarding and skiing, mountain climbing. Anything that has to do with the outdoors. I have been indoors, hiding :(, for so much of my life, that I don't want to be in here anymore. I just want to have fun with my life.

I want to fit in an airplane seat and not worry about getting the tray down or pushing the person next to me onto the floor. I want some old friend to see me after a long while and not recognize who I am cause I look so different. I want to buy clothes in a regular store. I want to feel proud of myself. I want to be healthy. I want my kids to quit worrying that I'm going to die a young age. And I really want my ex husband to see me looking so hot he won't know what hit him!

312/218/160 I attended our support group meeting the other night and crossed my legs like a lady for the first time, and sat there for 2 hours like that, JUST BECAUSE I COULD! I tried on and fit into a size 20 jeans and wondered who's butt that was in the mirror. I can tie my shoes and have the laces in the front instead of on the side. Now my ultimate goal..to stand on the bow of a ship in a white flowing gown...That I've purchased at Victoria Secret's.

Ok, here goes. 1. I want to buy normal sized clothing from regular stores that don't cater to plus sized women. 2. I want to have sex on top and finally find out what all the hype is about. 3. I want to excercise without feeling self-conscious and wear a swimsuit in the summer without a tee-shirt. 4. I want to be able to look down and see beyond my stomach without leaning forward. 5. I want to rollerskate with my five-year-old and crawl around on the floor with my 6-month-old. 6. Just once, I would like to show up at my husband's job wearing next to nothing under a trench coat and flash him. 7. I would like to catch my breath once in awhile. 8. I want to go back to Disney World and actually ride the rides this time. 9. I want to dance close with my husband. 10. I want to be able to sleep without some part of my body going numb under the weight of me. 11. See 1-10.

Well here are 36 reasons that I came up with before I had my surgery and also a few of why I didn't want to lose the weight, I know that sounds strange, but the fat did serve a purpose. MY REASONS TO LOSE 200LBS 1. To have energy to play with my children. 2. To be able to walk from the car to a store and be able to walk for longer than 10mins without needing the cart to lean on for assistance because of back pain. 3. To be able to Stand. 4. To be able to get up from the couch without it taking assitance or being a 3 or 4 step process. 5. To not dread walking from the house to the car- Hell to not dread walking. 6. To be able to stand long enough to be able to unload then reload the dishwasher. 7. To be able to shower properly. 8. To be able to "wipe" without muscle spasms (ewweee). 9. So I can go from the basement to the upstairs (2flights of stairs) to the bathroom without dying. 10. To not lose another button off of another shirt to my steering wheel. 11.To be able to go food shopping, or any shopping for that matter. 12.To be able to go to church again. 13.To not look pregnant 14.To be able to make it through the day and into the night without this constant dread of having a heart attack. 15.To be able to see my feet when I look down...without having to bend over. 16.To have the energy to clean my house. 17.To actually be able to use my rollerblades. 18.To go bike riding. 19.To be able to play racquetball. 20.To be able to sit like a lady. 21.To be able to make more than one trip out to the car to carry things in. 22.To be able to leave my house and not be ashamed to be around people. 23.To go to the beach. 24.To not get stuck behind the table in a booth. 25.To be able to go to my children's school activities. 26.To be able to hike again. 27.To be able to get dressed without feeling like I need to take another shower. 28.To be able to ride on a rollercoaster (I'll show my kids yet!). 29.To not be in fear on an elevator. 30.To be able to buy clothes (I have outgrown all of the stores around here). 31.To be able to wear something other than stretch clothes. 32.To be able to wear heels again (haven't worn them in at least 9yrs...used to live in them when I was younger, could even run in them) 33.To be able to do yard work (who would look forward to doing chores...lol). 34.To be able to take the trash out (down a flight of stairs, outback, and back up the stairs again). 35.To be able to wear something that is fitted, besides my underwear and socks...(sorry for the visual). 36.To be able to wear cute clothes. I will add more later, this list is limitless since my barriers will be melting off. REASONS WHY I AM AFRAID TO LOSE 200LBS 1. To have to face people (mainly men) again (the whole assault issue). 2. Because I might gain it back again. 3. Because I will actually have to care about myself. 4. Because I will have to find ways to deal with my emotions, happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, shame...I had a food for every mood. 5. To not have an excuse not to participate.

Heather... great idea for a post... I want to be able to get up and down off the floor without major issue... I want to ride a roller coaster again... I want to shop in regular size stores & not need the BIGGEST size there... I want to wear the proverbial "little black dress"... I want to NOT have the feeling that food & eating RULES my life... I want to be OFF all maintenance meds... I want to weigh less than when I graduated high school AND less than it says on my drivers license... I want to fly in an airplane WITHOUT needing a seatbelt extender... I want to wear a bathing suit and look at least decent, if not pretty good... :-)
