Question:
75 CM BYPASS, CAN I KEEP IT OFF AS EASILY.
I WAS ONLY BYPASSED 75 CM, I NEVER WORRIED ABOUT IT UNTIL READING ALL THE POST ABOUT PEOPLE BEING BYPASSED ALOT MORE.I HAVE MADE IT TO GOAL LOSING 145 POUNDS IN 1 YEAR BUT NOW I AM WORRIED THAT WHEN MY WINDOWS CLOSES I WILL GAIN IT BACK MORE EASILY THAN PERSONS BYPASSED MUCH MORE. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU SO MUCH, TERRI — terri R. (posted on November 21, 2003)

I think you will do fine, I asked my surgeon today if he bypasses less or
more, he said alot of surgeons are deciding that doing too much causes too
much malnutrition. So it is better than having too much I guess.
GOOD LUCK!

Yesterday I asked my surgeon how much he would bypass. He said 150 cc and I
thought that was great. He said there's been no evidence to show it makes
any difference. People that have 50cc to 100cc have lost just as much and
kept it off just as long as those with a longer bypass. He said following
the basic rules are the determining factor on how long you'll keep it off.

Some people can gain back easily being 150cm bypassed. I did. The trick
is to learn the habits that are going to help you keep the weight off. I
know that it would be easy to get down on yourself and throw up your hands
(been there done that). The surgery was a tool to help you lose the
weight. Keeping it off is up to you. Good luck and email me if you want.
