Question:
Has anyone tried the Oneway bars?
They are made by the company that makes the Detour and Uturn bars. I would like to know how they taste. Now my DH is hooked on the Detours and Uturns too! Thanks! — Carol S. (posted on July 15, 2003)

Carol - I think they taste great - more like a Nutrageous bar rather than a
Reese's PB cup, though. It's interesting because I have been posting
messages (as have others at HUP) to the UPENN-WLS yahoogroups list and our
nutritionist was reading us the riot act at our support group meeting. She
felt that by talking about the taste of these bars and comparing them to
candy bars (at least taste wise) that we were approaching our use of these
the wrong way. I spoke up and told her that she was wrong and the fact
that some of the biggest losers at UPENN - 160 pounds loss and up are into
protein supplementation via bars and shakes - showed that we were
approaching it the right way (well, she's a bit of a control freak anyhow

I thought the Detour & Uturn bars were pretty good. Until I tasted a
OneWay. What's bizarre is that I love nuts, but not in my "food".
LOL! Whenever anyone walks in the door, that's an excuse to crack one
open and "sample" it. Of course, SOMEBODY has to eat what's left
of the bar. I have not been in love with a bar for 2 yrs since my fave was
discontinued. I might have finally found one.
