Question:
Anyone who had an Open RNY from Dr. Simonowitz in Bellvue Washington.

Hi, My name is Michelle Mahoney,I live in Seattle Wa, & On Febuary 2-2003 , I had my Wls,& Dr David Siomonowitz at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue Wa, IS my Surgen, I will have to say hes one OF THE BEST WLS IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTION! Im not kidding ,hes the chief surgen of surgens at Bellevue Hospital! so that should tell you something! He has bin doing this very kinda of Surgery ,sence the the late 70tys,and has dun well over 2000 of these surgerys,Dr Siomonowitz DOSE NOT MESS AROUND! HE DOSE NOT HAVE THE TIME!!!!hes a damm good surgen and when I was in the hospital, and had my surgery when he orderd something due to my care , you better beleve his wish is the nurse's comand! he came and checked on me every night I was in the hospital & hes the one who will do your surgery, not someone elce after you had seen him in his office! hes stright and to the point!He has no respect for folks who dont do there resruch "homework" on the surgery and who dont take the surgery seiours!as he will tell you if he feels he must "I dont have time for sillyness" Im not here to be your DADDY!when you go in to see him have your qwestions ready and make shore you have all of them, ask qwestions,because he will ancwer everyone of them!he may be a very straght and to the point kinda of man ,however he knows when to show compassion,when his team of surgens wheeled me down the hall and down to the O.R room, Dr Siomonowitz,comes around the corner,& I lifted up my hand to wave "Hello" to him HE GRABS my hand and looks at me and saids "Your going to just fine" and holds my hand all the way down the hall and into the Operating room! when he did this ,all my fear was gone, I was ready and at ease, now that kinda of REAL compassion can not be taught in any School! hes an awsome surgen and if you decide hes the Dr, you want ,your in the best hands & the best care! good luck and I hope I helped in some way, you can read my Bio~ and learn more!

Hello - I had surgery with Dr Simonowitz on April 7, 2003. I have no complaints. He expects you to do your homework as he will not babysit you post op. Barb 235/200/125

I work with Deb Jantz (on this site too)and her surgery was by Dr. Simonowitz. She said he is the best. The doctors I talk to in town all refer to him. He only does open - no lap - but he does them continually - TONS (!) of experience.
