Question:
Does anyone know a pcp that is wls friendly willing to write letter of medical necess
My pcp would not write letter, so I went to a new doctor who said he would support me. I went through all the tests to get clearance for surgery. He asked me to give him an outline of a letter. I gave them copy of my letter, which he wanted to revise and write fromhim, however I have waited for 5 weeks and they have not completed the letter. The lady in the office is full of excuses. I am at the end of my rope. I need to find a doc to promptly write my letter. I live in the St. Peters area, right outside St. Louis. — bev S. (posted on March 7, 2003)

I don't have another doc to recommend (I live in NJ) but I just wanted to
add that you should keep on them! By the time you find another doc and he
writes a letter, you will probably have that first letter! I know it can be
so frustrating, I went through the same thing. I even gave them the disk,
so all they had to do was print it out on their letterhead and he signed
it. If you can make their life a whole lot easier, it goes faster! But keep
on them, if he said he would do it, I'm sure he will, but he is just busy
as most doctors are. Don't give up- I'm sure you will get the letter!
Goodluck!
