Question:
*14 months Post op,and gaining*
Ok lately I noticed that my clothes that were becoming very loose, arent, and ive been measuring myself and watching my weight on the scale, Now I was down to 159lbs, and am back up to 166lbs, which is 7lbs. I have been exercising, drinks tons of water, watch my carb intake, and do alot of protein, not to mention am religious to a point about my vitamins. I am so darn confused at what is going on. I am wondering at this point if something is wrong, Ive not been sick, or been throwin up or having any pain in my stomach area, so if anyone has a clue of what might be the problem please let me know, Im going nuts over it. Ive noticed that in my measurments ive increase about a inch in my waist, and about a inch and half around my breast, I even started to believe I might be pregnant, but went and had a pregnancy test, and it was negative. Ugh, if anyone has any tips please let me know.BTW, I had a open RNY on June 11,2001 and started out at about 275lbs. — Ann A. (posted on September 15, 2002)

I found this site to be very helpful: 2 ways to get there..
go to Map at top of this page, then it will say
Site Map...on that page look for General Tools (near the bottom) click on
Weight Loss Calculator
here is the link http://www.obesityhelp.com/weightloss.phtml
but you need to know how to find it if you lose it..
fill in info, it will give you a # this is your diet burden. Mine is 625.
This means I have to either cut back 625 calories off my food intake, or, i
can do 300 then exercise off the other 325 or i can cut back 100 and
exercise off 525 etc....it will help you to see what you need to do to keep
losing. I am at a plateau also, but i am losing inches. I am at 172 size
14P and i am walking 2.8 miles every day I can and when I cant, using the
gazelle and lifting small weights. I bought a blouse 3 weeks or less ago,
and the sleeves were soooo tight. I tried it on this am and wala..fits
perfect..so it comes off slooooower..but its coming. Hang in there!!!! God
Bless.

Many bounce back a bit after reaching goal. I bottomred at 179 and bounced
back to 183 but float between 180 and 185 depening on the time of day,
hydration, food, last batrhroom visit and a myriad of other reasons.
Incidently aT 5 foot 11 I am at my chart weight. So you should watch the
scale but dont panic, it may be normal.

I wouldn't worry too much - I had RNY 7/30/01 so we are close in time - let
me tell you what happened last month. I had weighed in @ 163 and found
that by the next am I was up to 168 and within another day or so, 174!
Strange - but not totally unexpected because I had fallen and cracked my
coccyx and couldn't work out- anyway, within the next week I began my
menses and was back down to 162. Within the next 2 weeks, my weight
dropped to 154. So, this is probably just one of those strange
fluctuations and it will probably all even out. Don't panic! Just keep
doing what youknow if correct.
