Ive Done my reseach I have to get my pcp to listen to help me get appoved by Kasier .

i have southern kaiser, and once my pcp provider turned the paper , i was approved within 6 weeks. Of course i met the bmi criteria, comorbid factors and 100lbs overweight. if your pcp is not into wls tries to find out whoo is and change doctors. hope this help.

Not necissarily. I have Kaiser Mid-Atlantic, and my case was approved by Health International. All I had to have was surgical CLEARANCE from my PCP, meaning she agreeed I (hopefully) wouldn't die on the table. I think it's kind of a ruse - the ins cos want you to think you need PCP endorsement/approval for WLS, when in reality all you need is an okay for surgery - any kind of surgery. Hope this helps.
