Question:
Has anyone had surgery performed in either Peoria or Champaign, Illinois?

Hi, I had surgery just over 2 weeks ago, on Wednesday, July 3rd. My surgery was a Lap RNY done by Dr. J.Stephen Marshall of the Peoria Surgical Group. I am VERY happy with the results, despite hitting the dreaded Week 3 blahs. But I'll get over that soon enough (ok, could be a lot sooner! LOL) Peoria has an excellent support and education program and has several surgeons. I've only met Dr. Marshall and Dr. Rossi, I'd recommend either one. Hi I am having my surgery in Downers Grove but belong to the Champaign/Urbana WLS support group. You find it by going to YAHOO groups then WLS then group name. They have monthly meetings at Carle. I have talked to people who have had their surgery in Champaign, Peoria, Clinton and Downers Grove. If you have trouble finding the group on Yahoo let me know Kristi

I had my surgery in Belvidere, IL at the Bariatric Treatment Center.(open RNY) The whole center specializes in WLS. I would highly recommend this treatment center. Dr. Eric Vaughn and Dr. Schlesinger were both great continue to be great even after the surgery.
