Question:
Has anyone else experienced this?
It seems like every 10lb mark I hit, I end up in bed for a few days with back pain. I feel that its my spine readjusting to my new weight, that I am able to move quicker and more, and that I am using more muscles there. A friend of mine thinks I should call my surgeon, but I wanted all of you guys input first — Diane Rhoads (posted on June 22, 2002)

I know exactly what you mean. I had horrible back problems after an auto
accident in 1999 and lying on my back in the hospital made them worse but
once I was up and about it went away as long as I wasn't lying down. Now
it seems that every time I lose a few pounds, I'm in agony with my back,
whether standing, sitting or lying down. I don't know what causes this but
I'll be sure to check for answers. Good Luck

Yes, I still have back pain. Thought a new bed would fix it, but I think a
TT would fix it better. I thought I read somewhere that even 10lbs. of
excess weight in your stomach, puts like 100 pounds of pressure on your
back. Now, I could be smoking something or making that up, but that is
sure what it FEELS like to me.... and I tend to retain stupid trivia like
that all the time.
