Question:
Help I am gaining weight!!!1
I am one year out and really starting to gain weight. I was 14lbs smaller December of last year then I am right now. I can't understand what I am doing now that I wasn't doing then. I also feel like I can eat alot more now. I honestly feel so bad. I just never thought i would regain the weight. Please if this has happened to any of you tell me what to do to stop it. I am now at about 174 and really need to lose 30lbs. I know I should be thankful but it is so scary to think that I could ever be 250lbs again. — Ann M. (posted on April 30, 2002)

Ann, have you talked to your doctor about your weight gain? There could be
a physical problem like a staple line disruption (if you are not
transected). I do have a SLD from my VBG and will be revised to RNY in
July. My weight started going up and I felt it was all my fault, when it
turned out to be a physical problem. Please don't wait until you gain all
of your weight back like I did before you have this checked out.
