Question:
Could anyone suggest a good cookbook for gastric-byoass patience?
I am having a hard time finding a good cook book. I would love some suggestions. I am 6wks. post-op, andI am going on full foods Friday (yay!!!). I am really cautious of what to eat and I think this will help chill me out and be more relaxed about food as I know I really limit myself with food!!! Thanks to all who respond. — Dorothy G. Hello. I found a book called "The High Protein Cookbook". It's
not for WLS patients in particular, but it has some wonderful recipies.
Every one of them has 30 grams of protein. The authors are Linda West
Eckhardt and Katherine West Defoyd. 'More than 150 healthy and irresistibly
good low-carb dishes that can be on the table in thirty minutes or less.
Each entree provides at least 30 grams of protein, most with less than 15
grams of carbohydrates, 30 grams of fat and under 500 calories! It's the
quick, easy and delicious way to maintain any low-carb regimen.' Happy
cooking!!

I ordered the cookbook from Victoria Bowen on this website and I LOVE IT.
Thank God no more plain grilled chicken breast. This cookbook is worth
every penny it cost...Pam

I have found a Dr Atkins cook book. It is a recipe only cook book and has a
listing of carb's. It doesn't have all of the other advice in there it is
strictly a cook book. I found it at Boarders book store.
