Hi: I am 5'4" and started out at 346, a year later and I am at 175
and still loosing. (slower, but still doing it) I hope to make 150, and
think that losing a bit more, plus my plastic surgery, I'm hopeful to make
it! SO can you! GOod luck.

Hi! Now, I can't vouch for the RNY procedure, I had the switch (DS), but I
started at 298 and 9 months later I am at 177!!! I'll hit 160 within a
couple months. . . losing at about 8 lbs per month, even at 9 months out.
I too, thought I would never reach "real goal" but it's looking
better and better (and more likely, especially after plastic surgery!)
every day!!! Good luck and Blessings on your journey,

I started at 5'4" and 310, and 5.25 months out, I am already down to
195! I had Open RNY, 125cm bypassed. I have lost more than most people in
our support group at the same milestones; I exercise religiously and watch
what I eat. But it can be done. My goal is 125 and I hope with my tummy
tuck to be there by my birthday... 07/11... and if not then, definitely by
one year anniversary, 09/17!<p>Good luck on your journey.

Well I'm not having much luck. I just can not get below 190. I keep going
between 192-198. We started out just about the same weight but I'm alot
shorter than you.

I'm 5'10" and started at 314. I had VBG on 5/31/00 and I now weigh
170. I've been stable at this weight now for a few months. I think 160
for your height is something very attainable. If I did the plastic surgery
thing, I think I'd be in the mid to low 160's now. Most people tell me
that I look like I weigh around 150. You can do it... you have to work it,
remember that it is only a tool and there will be hard work and dedication
on your part.

I had an open RNY on 6-26-01. My pre-op weight was 280, now 8 months post
op, down 101lbs, at 179lbs. I am 9 pounds from my Dr's goal of 170lbs and
19lbs from my personal goal of 160lbs. I am 5'7". Good Luck!

I'm 5'9 & weighed 350 when I had surgery almost 2 years ago. I have
lost about 170 pounds & now weigh about 180. I will have plastic
surgery in about a month & expect that to account for another 10, maybe
even 15 pounds. So, yeah, I'd say it's VERY likely you will make 160. I
lost all my weight in the first year to 13 months & have basically
maintained that weight over the last year.
