Question:
Protein
I see on the board that quite afew of you use the protein called Cher-Amino pre-digested collagen protein. I was wondering what is is like, if it's liquid, how you use it and how much protein is in it? I'm 4 1/2 months post op and always looking for some new protein! Thanks — Amy E. It is collagen-whey. 4 tablespoons = 30g protein, 0g sugars. I just take
it directly. I don't like cherries, don't like tart things, but I can do
this one once/day and then do chocolate the rest of the day. Some mix up
the 4T with maybe 4 oz of Crystal Light or s/f Tang or other tart drink.

If you are talking about the Twinlab brand, I do not recommend it. It
tastes very nasty! I have tried it every way I could think of and cannot
stomach it even holding my nose. I don't care for the shake mixes so I am
going to try Casec powder which is supposed to mix with anything and taste
like nothing. GNC USED to carry liquid protein that was fabulous and really
had a cherry taste but quit carrying it in favor of more expensive brands
that do not compare. I tried isopure and believe it or not, felt like I had
taken speed after drinking it...Best of luck finding something you like.
Email me at [email protected] if you find something good!

It tastes like Cough Syrup. It is nasty. But you get used to the taste.
I take 4 tablespoons every morning and it equals 30 grams. I like the fact
that it doesn't fill me up like the shakes do (but I still do 2 shakes a
day too). I also like it for days that I just don't feel like making a
shake. It allows me to eat 3 meals a day otherwise I would skip breakfast
for a shake instead. And contrary to popular belief, we shouldn't skip any
meals. Good luck and God Bless!
