Can someone recommend a surgeon in Ohio for me?

I don't know where you live at in Ohio but I had a great surgeon in Cleveland. He's at the Cleveland Center For Bariatrics. If you are interested in contacting them his name is Dr.Sonpal and the number there is 216-592-2801. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY!!!!!

Hi Danielle - I guess it depends on how far you want to drive. My Surgeon was Dr. Maguire. He has 20 years experience with WLS - A founding member of the Bariatric Surgeon's Association. In 2000 was the Head Surgical Doctor at Kettering Medical Center - where he performs his surgeries. Good Luck in finding someone!!

Hi Danielle.. If you are looking for a surgeon in the Cincinnati/Dayton area, I recommend Dr. Derrick Martin..Both my boyfriend and I had our surgeries through him and we *love* him. A quick note though..don't go thru the Middletown office. Go to him through his Dayton office. The staff is much more professional, and you wont have a five month wait just to get in the door :P Best of luck :)

Hi Danielle..I live in Columbus and traveled to Springfield to have my surgery. Dr Ronald Spiers was my surgeon. Awesome doctor..and he comes highly recommended!! Not sure where in Ohio you live..but he is well worth the drive. Good luck in finding someone..and with your surgery! Take care!

Danielle, since you're in Michigan, Toledo is probably closest. There are several Doc's there that perform the surgery. Also about 4 in Cleveland, I had a Lap RNY 3 weeks ago by Dr. Brody at Cleveland Clinic. There are 3 Dr's (1 is new) at St. Vincent's in Cleveland, 1 at Metro Health, and 1 at University Hospitals. All have pretty good reps. Check out the Ohio peers page for the city nearest you then click on a post-op then click on their Dr to see the # of comments made about him/her. Good luck!

This is a ways down from where you are but Dr Maguire is in Kettering Ohio (937-534-0339). I can't tell you enough good things about him. I really feel at ease with him as my choice. His offices are actually in the hospital. Plus the hospital - Kettering - is listed in the top 100 hospital in the country. Check them all and make your choice, but I don't think you'll go wrong with Dr. Maguire.

I'm from Michigan but I had my surgery done by Dr Houston Johnson in Toledo. He is a wonderful surgeon. I've had absolutely no complications and it has been very successful. He works out of the professional building at Toledo Hospital but I had my surgery at St Vincent's Medical Center. The hospital was wonderful too.
