Question:
Has anyone had there surgery reversed due to emotional problems, did insurence cover
I am only 2wks post-op but feel extremely tired and run down, I have lost 20 pnds so far but am having a hard time getting excited about it because of the tiredness, and emotional state about the whole ordeal. — Tricia B. (posted on July 10, 2001)

Tricia, are you getting in all your protein? I felt SO much better the
second week when I switched to "full liquids". I add unflavored
protein powder to my soups and pudding and that has made all the
difference. Most days I get quite a bit more protein than I have to. It
really helps. I also have walked several times a day since the day after I
came home. Some days I really have to push myself, but I feel really good
now. I'll be three weeks post op on thursday. Hope you feel better soon!

Tricia, I know how you feel. I have been tired and head hungry etc.
However I am 3 weeks post op today and finally I did my walking without
feeling like dying afterward. This is a big surgery and it will take a
while to get your strength back. Woo Hooo on the 20 lbs !!!

Hi, I am 1 month post op today and I never thought I would get here!!! It
does get better, I promise. I still wonder about a reversal, then there
are days like today I could accually eat and feel good. The protien thing
is right. I started on protien yesterday and it does make a differance. I
went to General Nutrition Center and bought a bunch of liquid protien
shakes and I think that things are getting better. It will seem like
forever untill you feel better but hang in there, we were all there.

I too felt the same way, I am now almost 3 months post op and just in the
last month have had my energy back. I ended up getting a B-12 shot from my
family doc, he said it may help and it may not, well something was right
after that shot, cause my energy level became normal again. I can tell if
I am not eating right, and dont take my vitamin for a couple days that I am
more tired than normal. But trust me it will get much much better.
