Well, let's see... Hmmmnn My husband has been my support system through
all of this.. But what has happened now is that he notices when men look at
me! I don't pay attention. really honest I don't. He always tells me that
someone was checking me out ... Wal Mart, Save Mart, the mall, driving down
the road... it's very strange. He thinks that it is disrespectful for men
to do that when we are together.. I agree... shush.. it's kinda nice to
have my hubby fret over me this way. For the most part it has made our sex
life better on my end.. I was at the point that sex was outta the
question... Now it is better than it has been in a long time... Jose has
always loves me no matter how much weight that I had gained... He never
stopped wanting to have sex with me...I think that for me this was a
positive move.. It has made me love him more... Isn't that strange? I'm the
one that had surgery not him! LOL Go figure! Heather

Had my RNY done last Oct. 2. Now my wife does not miss a
chance to brag about my loss (130 Lbs.) to anyone at any time.
Could not have had a bigger supporter!!

My post is very similar to the above one from Heather. My husband didnt
want me to have the surgery but was very supportive because he knew how
much it meant to me. I am with him 11 years and in that time put on 100
lbs. He has never made reference to me being overweight. Like Heather, he
never stopped want relations, I was the one who hated what I looked like,
he always told me I was sexy, who could be sexy at 300 lbs? He did pass a
few comments before the surgery how after it was done and I lost the weight
I would leave him. I told him, no way u r stuck with me for life. I could
never leave the man who totally accepts me the way I am so unconditionally.
I could never find someone better. Sena

My husband is also morbidly obese. He has been completely supportive,
involved, excited. From the beginning, he said he would watch to see how I
did and then consider it for himself. He found it quite difficult at first
to have lost his "eating buddy." Then he was frustrated by his
own efforts to diet, while watching me eat whatever I wanted (albeit in
small quantities). He has been admittedly jealous of my freedom of
movement and my ability to do so much more now that most of the weight is
gone. He absolutely loves my new body, even though it is pretty saggy and
mushy :) His final reaction? His surgery date is set for June 20. - Kate
