Question:
Stopping the pill?

I heard that after the surgery you will be asked to stop any meds you are currently taking.I'm on birth control pills and don't want to have to restart them.Has anyone on the pill 'had to' stop taking them,or were you able to continue without missing any pills?    — Kristie D. My physician had me stop using my birth control pills prior to surgery and stay off of them for a while after surgery. This was to decrease the risk of blood clots. Definitely check with your clinic and ask specifically about birth control pills and your doctors protocol.
