Question:
Need Information on Dr. Lirio

Goodmorning, My name is Mary Anne Montesano, I am one of Dr. Lirio's patients and head up his Bypass Support group. Dr. Lirio is based out of Schenectady , NY. His telephone number is 518-372-1313. His Office Manager is Paula, she is EXCELLENT! Dr. Lirio is not only a very talented surgeon who has given me my life back, but is also quite a man. He attends all of his support group meetings and is always there when you need him. FYI, I started this in October of 1997 weighing in at 397, I am now down to 176, being 6' tall, thats just perfect for me. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. By the way, we will be having a support group meeting on September 13th at 7 pm in the cafeteria of Ellis Hospital in Schenectady if you would like to join us. Everyone is welcome! Dr. Lirio is FANTASTIC!!! I truly believe he saved my life. He took the time to check out a lump in my belly when 5 other doctors gave me the brush-off. Turned out it was a strangulated hernia that ruptured on the table. When I ran into some complications, he was right there for me all evening long. I HIGHLY recommend him!

hi, I had gastric bypass two years ago this October 23. Dr Lirio is my surgeon. He is an excellent surgeon. He will answer any questions that you may have. He has his patients go through a lot of pre-op testing , but it is for their own good. He does a great job and really cares about his patients. He also has a support group that meet at Ellis hospital, the first Monday of each month. He always attends those meetings too. There are alot of people that go to these meetings before they have gastric bypass surgery to talk to others who have had it. I hope you decide to attend one and meet us .If you do attend one , please mention the Obesity help web site so we will know who you are. I have lost 115 pounds and feel great. Dr. Lirio just did a hernia repair and a tummy tuck last April. I went from a size 28 to a 12-14. This is the best thing there is for over weight people. I wish I had known about it years ago.
