If your PCP won't refer you, find another. If your medical group won't approve, change medical groups! Different medical groups under one insurer are not the same in what they will and won't approve. For example, my first medical group wouldn't approve any wls surgery, never had before. Even with my PCP support, endocrinologist, no approval from the medical group even on appeal. I changed to another medical group available under my insurance and have had no problems. I am approved. Good luck! Eva
