Question:
does aflac cover wls?

My husbands company is looking in to aflac ins. and right now i have kaiser and have been denied twice with a bmi of 48. i was wondering if any one had any info on this company? thank you toni    — Toni R. (posted on April 14, 2005)

I doubt it, Aflac is more of an insurance supplement. Say you had cancer and was off of work due to that, it would pay you so much per day, and you can use it for whatever you needed, i.e. rent, bills utilities etc. But it is worth looking into anyway, Good luck!

The other poster is right. AFLAC is a supplemental insurance, not a true insurance carrier. They are probably offering AFLAC for ancillary type of products (dental, disability insurance, etc.) but they don't offer a "true" medical insurance only plan - only supplement plans.
