Question:
I've been approved for surgery, Nov. 2004.

My weight right now is 205lbs. and I'm 5 ft tall. Is there anyone out there with the same starting weight and height if so please tell me how much weight you've lost because I'm scared I might lose too much weight.    — laviece (posted on July 31, 2004)

Hi Sharonda.......Congratulations on your surgery date. I know how excited you must be. I am 5 feet tall...no inches, just 5 feet like you and I weighed 211 pounds the day before my surgery. I am now weighing in at 144 lbs. after 6 months. I have lost 67 pounds and love it!! I have gone from a size 20 jeans 20/22 blouse down to a size 8 jeans some 4/6 shorts and my blouses and shirts are 4/6 7/9 8/10 depending on how they are made. Anything you want to ask feel free to email me. I know I am a slow looser and you probably will be too because we are considered 'lightweights' to begin with. They say the more you weigh at the time of the surgery, the more you will loose. Read my profile Good luck............

Hello, I'm another 'lightweight'. I'm 4'10". I started pre op at 218. I'm now 8 months out and weigh 126 and have lost 92 so far. I want to get to 115-110. I think your body will know when to stop. My loss has slowed down quite a bit now. Good Luck, Robin W
