Question:
Does any one know of a support group in Mineral, Hampshire Co. of WV?

I am looking for a support group in the Potomac Highlands of WV or Cumberland,MD or Winchester,VA. My surgeon is asking me to attend a support group meetings for one year.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!    — Christy R. (posted on June 22, 2004)

Christy, I don't have an answer to your question but allow me to commend you for reaching out to find support. I had surgery in 1987 and failed miserably. My husband left me for another woman and I returned to rural GA and had no friends, no support of any kind and some of the doctors I went to had never heard of the surgery and the ones who had were ignorant as to how to assist me. I feel I would have been successful if I had had friends and a support system in place. Good Luck and Best Wishes

Christy, ther was a support group that meets every month up at the CountryClub Mall, right across from the Movie Theater in the community room. If they are still having it it will be posted in the board outside of the community room. I know sometimes they don't meet as much during the summer months because everyone is so busy. Check it out though...
