Question:
Is eating 1 protein bar for breakfast and 1 for snack after dinner to much?

This was a GREAT question to ask. As of lately I've been doing the same
thing. My biggest concern is that the protein bars may have too many carbs
in them.

In my opinion if it works for you then fine. The ones I eat are 26 grams
of protein and about 12 grams of carbs after removal of the fiber, so I
certainly would consider it. They also tend to sit pretty heavy so they
would fill you up till the next mealtime, which is the goal anyway. There
is no right or wrong, just what works for you!

I'm no nutritional expert, but I've been eating protein bars since I was 6
weeks out. The ones I use are filled with vitamins and minerals and
protein & I know I would not be able to meet my daily protein goal
w/out them. They taste good to me and somedays I have been known to eat 3
or 4 bars and no other "real food" (I don't get hungry and
sometimes can only get half a bar in at a time). The bars, for me, are
great -- they are healthy & convenient. They keep me within my daily
caloric goal of 800-1200 and exceed my daily protein goal of 65g. I don't
watch my carbs, but I watch my fats & sugars and only buy the bars that
have less than 9g of fat and less than 3g of sugar. It's what's worked for
me, and in just over 17 months I've gone from 315 to 124. Eat the way that
you feel comfortable and healthy. Good luck to you!

I don't like the protein bars, but I do not think you are over-eating, you
certainly cannot be ingesting enough calories at this stage, so 2 a day is
very good, I was told to eat 2-3 a day as you do need the protein.

I guess it depends on how much your overall intake is and if you are
continuing to lose weight. Please be careful. Some bars are VERY high in
calories and more like eating a candy bar, compared to a nice piece of
chicken or other protein food. Also, try not to eat a whole bar as a
snack. I cut my bars into 1/3's and keep them in a ziplock bag and just
eat 1/3 if I want something sweet (and high protein/SF) but I always eat
real food first.
