My scale is moving up 2-3 pounds then down, then up again....I've been stuck forever on or around 163 lbs. I'm 7.5 months post-op, and started at 260. I must admit, I've eaten some cake and sweets, and starches, that I have not had much of over the course of my journey, but now that I try to get back strict it seems to still not budge me. Have I done something to sabottage my weight loss? Any ideas are appreciated! — richarro (posted on January 3, 2004)

I am also 7.5 months out and have been stuck for the past two weeks.
Hopefully it's just a stage and we'll be on the move again soon. I'm
kicking up my exercise, protien and water. I think the holidays probably
stumped us a little bit. Take care and God bless!

Must be a phase, I'm also 7.5 mos post op, well almost 8, and have been
bouncing around the same 2 lbs since the day before Christmas. It's
frustrating, but I'm doing the water, protein, exercise, etc. that I should
be, it's just a bump in the road. Surely!
At least we're not alone :)

My surgery was April 10, 2003 and I have gotten to my goal of losing 100
lbs. I too have bounced up and down with those 2 lbs. I must admit that I
have been eating alot of holiday junk for the past week and a half but I
don't want to lose anymore all my friends say I am getting too
skinny...imagine that LOL I am at 170 so I am no light weight I guess I
gotta learn how to balance the pounds. Good luck and God Bless.

I have the same story. At about 7.5 months out, I started bouncing around
the same 3 pounds up and down. It's only the last week or so, at nine
months out, that I've dipped down under the low end of those 3 pounds. So,
I think I'm on the road to losing again. I, too, was eating a few more
holiday sweets and starches than normal, but that doesn't explain it. The
plateau started before the holidays, and wasn't affected by them (that is,
I didn't gain more than those fluctuating three pounds). I do think it's
just an adjustment your body goes through, and as long as you do what
you're supposed to, it will eventually break. A month and a half was a
long wait, but I think it's paying off again.
