Question:
When the dr. bypasses does he take out any part of the intestines?

I asked this question of my doctor prior to surgery. His reply was
"nothings is taken out". I hope this helps you.

It is what the name implies. A bypass. No intestines are removed.

I agree with the others. The part of the intestines that is bypassed is
re-attached to the small intestines farther down so that the gastric juices
from the lower stomach can drain into your system. You can see a picture

thanks everyone for your reply. i couldn't remember what my doc told me
but I was under the impression that they took 'out' the 150cm for some
reason. Thanks for the pics too! 7mo out 120#'s down!
