Question:
5 weeks post op, drinking about 60 oz of water, urinating less??
I'm drinking as much as I can drink! And I seem to be going to the bathroom less than before, I think. Also it seems like the amount that comes out is less when I do go! Is this normal? There is no pain or anything like that I'm just confused about the amount. And the weirdest thing is I don't feel the NEED (you know the NEED) to go when I first wake up. I'm not seeing any concerns, but maybe there is? Can anyone give me feed back? On a side note.. I went to a dr. appt. this morning and have lost 57 lbs since 10/13! Yippee!! — Michelle J. Its normal. When I was an early PO I wondered the same thing. My doctor
said that alot of water comes from foods also and since we arent eating as
much as before..we pee alot less to. So as long as your getting your 64oz
of water youre just fine. Congrats on the weight loss..im 8 weeks po and
down the same

I would try to get in more water, if you are not urinating you body is
using all you are drinking. I started to do that then my urine got darker
because I was getting dehydrated, I got more water then it went back to
normal.
However I do not have the urge to urinate nearly as much as I did Pre-Op.
Good Luck!

Also, the weight loss decreases the pressure on your bladder. YOu may be
putting out the same amount, just peeing less often?
