Question:
Was Magnesium Citrate created by the Devil?
What else in the next few hours of pre op preps (say that 5 times fast) should I put on my I-better-be-a-good-person-cause-this-is-what-you-get-in-hell list? — Michelle J. (posted on October 12, 2003)

Haha - I would take the mag citrate any day if I didn't have to go thru the
incredible thirst I experienced when I woke up in recovery. Lord that was
AWFUL! But survivable - as is it all :>)

Hi Michelle- LOL, your posting made me chuckle :o) I think hell would be
having to take the stuff with no bathroom available! Good Luck to you :o)
BTW, I liked your pretty profile page :o) Mea

I'm a Newbie. Do you take a calcium-magnesium combination pill? I found
this on a website selling health stuff, "because you need magnesium in
order to absorb calcium!"
Can you crush it and mix in a tablespoon or 2 of apple sauce? That's what
they do in hospitals and nursing homes for people that can't swallow pills.

OTC...little green bottle!)to cleanse and remove- and it's horrid- had to
have it before my hysterectomy! don't be shy tho- all of us are newbies of
some sort!

I know you've had surgery now already and hope you're doing well. I just
wanted to mention that I sympathize with you completely and can say with
certainty that the Magnesium Citrate experience was BY FAR the worst part
of the entire surgical experience. I am now 7 weeks post op and still get
nauseous just thinking of it. There was nothing worse at all. Not the
surgery itself. Not the incisions. Not even the furious itching I
experienced a few weeks ago. The worst thing by far was the night before
surgery. I'm with you on the Hell thing!

On the outside of the bottle of mag citrate I drank it said, "Pleasing
Lemony Flavor". What a liar! I hate to tell you this, but just wait
until you have to gag that yellow liquid down when you have your Upper GI
after surgery. I cried. Good luck!
