Question:
Any post-ops out there that have had a problem with swallowing before surgery?

I have 'crest syndrome' (mild lupus?) and cronic reflux... both have contributed to loss of muscles working in my throat that contract when you swallow. Gravity more or less carries my food on down. Is there anyone post-op with this problem that can tell me how this is for them now and how they deal with it after surgery?    — Brenda F. (posted on August 21, 2003)
