Question:
Has anyone experienced tiny white bumps or marks on your skin after exercising?
I work out very regularly and work up an intense sweat. For the past few weeks I have noticed small white bumps on my arms and lower legs, and white marks on my upper thighs (they stand out because I am african american). It seems like they pop out where I sweat the most. Any suggestions or thoughts as to what this may be. — keishax (posted on July 10, 2003)

I GET THE EXACT SAME BUMPS, BUT ONLY IN THE SUMMER. I ATTRIBUTE IT TO BEING
OVERHEATED!! MAYBE SOME KIND OF POWDER OR CORNSTARCH WILL HELP. I'M GOING
TO TRY IT AND SEE IF IT WORK FOR ME. GOOD LUCK!!

I don't know if this is what you are getting, but in the summer...after
getting a bit of sun, I have to be careful not to sweat too much for the
next week or so. I tend to get these little white/clear bumps (where the
sweat coming out of my pores gets trapped under the dead skin from
sunbathing). If I scratch the bumps, I will feel a little bit of liquid
(the sweat that was trapped)...plus I will then start peeling a day or two
later. I don't know what it is called or if it is even close to what you
are experiencing, but felt the need to post to you just in case.

I don't think this is the same thing, but something to consider. I saw my
dr. for a similar problem. I got like acne on different parts of my body.
Turned out I lost weight and the pores in my skin wasn't keeping up. They
were still large and would get dirt stuck in them. I now shower using a
body scrub and a buff puff every day. It has helped at lot. No more
bumps. It also helps to remove the dead skin as my weight shrinks. It's
worth a try.
