Question:
If someone has complications immediately after RNY surgery
and will have to be bedridden for several days in the hospital and has a BMI of 60, can a Greenfield Filter be inserted even after the RNY surgery has been done? Should one even be inserted at that point? — Hackett (posted on May 20, 2003)

I've read about a few people who've been bedridden for a while after
surgery and never heard of anyone who had it implanted after the fact.
Usually they put the pressure things on your legs and also massage and
manipulate the legs. And it's only been just a rare few that I've heard
about at all the were bedridden. Good luck!
