Question:
Has anyone tried the Lean Protein Bites?

Someone mentioned these earlier and I have looked in the library and could not find any other information. I did check out there website and they have protein bites in chocolate, white chocolate, and peanut butter. They are low in sugar and high in protein but DO THEY TASTE GOOD?????    — Melanie S. Ummm....yes and no. Some days when I have to have something munchy, crunchy, they will work in a pinch. But it very obviously tastes like fake chocolate and protien (which is basically what it is). Some days they're nasty, and some days I munch away! Depends on my mood. Renee D

I tried the white chocolate ones, and they taste nothing like any form of chocolate. They were awful! One bite and I threw them out...

I love the chocolate ones. I eat probably a pack a day. Of course they are not going to taste like "real" chocolate but I don't eat the real chocolate anymore. I eat the sugar free, so to me, it tastes good. I am not too crazy about the white chocolate but the peanut butter ones are okay. I buy them on vitacost.com for $1.38 a pack and the shipping is only $4.95 no matter what you order, so I buy a lot of low carb items at one time. Best of luck to you!

Melanie, I like them, it sort of reminds me of like the Snap crackle pop cereal ! Without the carbs, but I don't count carbs anyways. I love chocolate ones, they taste good and give you that crunch you need and not bad for 120 calories and 14 grams of protein, the only downside of that, I find them rather high in the fat content, the label says it has 6 grams of fat.... That's the only thing that make me not eat them every day..... I guess we have to trade off one for the other..... Hope it helps. Post op 12 months down 130 pounds

They're OK if you want to crunch, but essentially tasteless. I ordered a whole box and have eaten one bag of each flavor - if you'd like a bargain, I'll send them to you cheap!

My taste change from day to day so something I think is great one day makes me gag the next. Lean Bites did not taste good to me so I waited a week or so and tried again. Yucky again so out they went. You on the other hand may LOVE them so get one or 2 and try it out. Sidney Open RNY 10-23-02 down 90+
