Question:
IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN TAKE FOR HAIRLOSS?
I'am 4 weeks post-op and wanted to know if there is anything that can be taken or done to prevent hairloss. I know it starts at about 3-4 months out so that's why I'am asking now. Anyone stopped hairloss from happening? — latrishanickle (posted on April 23, 2003)

To be totally honest, there is no real answer to this question. Some
people do and others don't. I personally don't. I have been losing tons
of hair but I thank God I have plenty. I am letting nature take it's
course. It will eventually stop so why bother taking things for it? I did
however cut it down some and it has not been coming out as much as before.
Good Luck to you. Open RNY 11/21/2002 Was 306 and now 195.....

I asked my surgeon the same question and he advised me to take biotin and
zinc, but, of course, there are no guarantees. (I'm taking both just to be
on the safe side.)

As far as I know, most people experience some degree of hair loss. I would
say the main thing to take is just a bit of my advice: Realize and remember
that your hair will come back. It is hard to see it go, but it is
temporary.

Funny you should ask that. I have a co-worker who starting losing hair
after she gave birth a few years ago. She was told by a dermatologist to
take 1000mg of Vitamin C religious everyday for 3 months. She said after 1
month her hair stopped falling out and starting growing back fuller than
ever. I've only been trying for 1 week now, so I can't testify whether it's
true or not, but I will let you know my results.

I take noni juice that has helped me. Its an herbal medicine that you can
get at a health store. Best to get 100% noni juice. It also lowers
colestrol, highblood pressure and etc. If you want to read more on it go
to www.nonijuice4u2000.com
Thanks,
Loretta
