Question:
What about the Schaumburg BTC?

I would like to know if anyone knows anything about the Schaumburg, IL BTC? I read alot of good things about the Belvidere, IL center but nothing about the Schaumburg center.    — Richard P. (posted on April 16, 2003)

Yep, just as Donna said, it's an intake office. Even after surgery they still want you to drive to Belvidere for post-op office visits. For me it is a two hour drive and I have to pass the Schaumburg exit every time.

Try Dr. Holtegen in Barrington. He's not a BTC, just a surgeon out of Good Shepherd Hospital if that is closer for you. I had my surgery in January and am very pleased with his office, and his bedside manner as well as the hospital itself.

Dr Hoeltgen is awesome. His office staff is awesome. I would pick him over BTC anyday. He remembers your name and history and you feel like an individual not just a number or an insurance payment. Had surgery 11 months ago and doing great...... Good luck to you in what ever you choose. I went to Belvidere, IL and my friend went to the Schaumburg, IL location. The surgery will take place at the Belvidere, IL location so I decided to stay with Belvidere. My friend liked the Schaumburg location and doctor, but when I told her about Dr. Berkowitz, she wished she would have gone to him. The thing she didn't like was going to two different facilities.
