Help to find info on Knee problems be a comorb

Hello there. I had just saw my Ortho Surg. He said that I had "ch......" which means "runners knee". I am searching for information on how this relates to Obesity. Can you help? He recommened getting shots under my knee cap and then physical theropy.    — Nicole R. (posted on March 25, 2003)

Runners Knee I have also kinda like really bad arthritis in the Knee I have had Cortazone (mispelled sorry) shots in my Knee and they did help My Doctor told me that this comes from strain to the Knee and Obesity is a BIG factor cause every 10 pounds over weight is like a 100 pounds of pressure on your Knees when you start loosing alot of weight this will improve some and if has gotten to bad then they may want to do Knee replacment depending on weather it improved or how severe the pain is I hope this helped some GOOD LUCK
