Question:
Sensation of something moving behind my scar when I sit upright or am jostled.
It feels as though something moves internally, located behind my WLS scar (about 8 inches long & vertical). Not painful, but quite disconcerting, especially during intimate moments! Feeling as though I hiccupped internally -- Quite hard to describe. I wonder if it could be my gall bladder as my husband has no such sensation and they removed his gall bladder during his WLS. Does anyone else feel this? I plan to ask my surgeon at my next appt (I'm about 5 months out)but would feel so much better if anyone could explain this -- His "bedside manner" is not conducive to inarticulate phrasing. — cjtich (posted on February 16, 2002)

I'm certainly no doctor, but maybe it could be a hernia? I just had one
repaired this past Monday. It didn't hurt at all, but I could see it
clearly as a protrusion on the right side of my incision scar. Apparently
they're quite common after any kind of stomach/abdominal surgery. Hope this
helps.

I agree with Mickey. Sounds like my hernia. Feels like there's a little
animal or something in there running around sometime. I can literally feel
the food moving inside me at times. I'd check for this first as it's easy
to fix and isn't causing you pain right now.

I don't know about the hernia because I haven't had WLS yet. But I do know
that gall bladder problems, when they start to make themselves known, are
painful. Mine flared up for the first time on a Monday and I had it
removed on Friday. That week was the worst in my life. I hurt and felt
sick the entire week.

If it's more of a tingly crawling sensation it could be your cut nerves
healing. I had that sensation quite often. Weird feeling!

Yep!!! I have the same sensation, it's a hernia...they move and squeeze
like a water bag inside of you. When I bend over to pick something up I can
feel it moving. My doctor said it needs to be removed will have surgery as
soon as I drop my last 20 lbs. The good thing is maybe if the insurance
approves it, you can get a tummytuck/hernia repair.
