Does anyone know why medical mutual has BCC of ohio listed as being

in the network meaning they will pay 100% but all the doctors that work there are out of network. So how much extra do you end up paying out of pocket if your out of pocket for insurance is $1,000.    — [Anonymous] (posted on January 21, 2002)

I'm not sure how this works, to tell you the truth. I didn't find out my surgeon wasn't covered (but BTC FACILITY was) until the Friday before my Monday surgery! There was NO WAY I was gonna switch horses in mid-stream NOW.. so figured I'd take my chances and come up with whatever money I had to in order to take care of the surgeon's bill when it came. Well.. I'm 6 weeks post-op and have YET to receive a bill.. or an explanation of benefits sheet... or ANYTHING. I have NO IDEA what this is going to end up costing me out-of-pocket.. but whatever it is.. IT WAS WORTH IT..!!!!!!! (down 30 lbs/28 inches) Good luck!
