Question:
Hoe hard if you are "out of network?

Was anyone ever approved for WLS by medical mutual then..denied because either the hospital or the surgeon was out of network? I think this happens mostly when you try to go to BTC. Then you end up paying out of pocket. Can anyone if you don't mind tell me how much they ended up paying I was told I would have to pay $1,950.00 for the surgeon because the hospital is in network and the doctor isn't so they will only pay him 70%.    — Samitra D J. I had Unicare and went to BTC they tried to charge out-of-network prices, but then we appealed to the insurance company on the grounds that there was no one in network and the out of pocket was cut in half at least! Try it, it might be an option!
