Sounds like you are right on track, if not faster than some VBG. I had
open-RNY the week before you, started out at 266 and am down to 205. I have
read that VBG loss is oftentimes a bit slower than RNY, but the bottom line
for all of is..how are you feeling? I know I feel so much healthier already
and my energy is fine. I'm sure you know about the BMI calculator on the
first page of the website that gives you an estimate of weight loss and
monthly estimates on loss. Good Luck!

You are doing great!!! I had a open VBG on June 13th. My starting weight
was 255. I am 215 now. You are ahead of me. My dr. says he does not want
me losing more than 6-7 pounds per month. I am right at his target. As my
friends tell me....when is the last time you have lost 40#'s in 3 months?
Not so bad when you hear it put that way. He He

Please join us VBG'ers on the VBG list at www.yahoogroups.com....you will
get accurate info and wonderful support from hundreds of VBG'ers who have
lost large amounts of weight (just as quickly, if not more quickly than RNY
- one of the previous comments is one of the myths that floats around about
VBG)-
People lose at different rates - lots of variables - and you must not
compare yourself to others....the good news is that your are LOOSING!!
Increase your water intake and EXCERCISE like crazy and you will continue
to lose....
I had my OpenVBG on June 11th, 2001 and have lost 82lbs - but, I started
out at 340lbs......
