Question:
Has anyone suffered with a raw, scratchy throst, I'm 1 month post-op & it still hurts

A breathing tube is usually placed in the mouth during surgery, and this
can leave the throat feeling the way you described it. The soreness goes
away after awhile and it may not be anything to worry about, but it never
hurts to check. All the best.

I feel that anything that feels abnormal...or painful should be
checked..even if you just read about it at first...but catching anything in
the early stages is better than later on when more serious things can
happen.
Just let Dr. Know..about it..thats all..INFORM
My friend is a gospel singer. Her throat kept hurting, she had to leave
camp meeting (where she was singing) early and go home bec. of a staph
infection in throat...She has no spleen so its a little harder for her.
Most of the time I'm sure its just from the tube..but I'd rather be
"safe than sorry" :) Jacki
